My First Quarter Journey

This quarter, I learned about the internet timeline, from the early days of ARPANET to the internet we know today. I also discovered the different ways of internet access, the importance of browsers in exploring websites, how blogs work as online journals, and how search engines make information easy to find. These lessons showed me how much the internet has grown and how it continues to shape the way we live and learn. One of my struggles was memorizing all the years and dates in the internet timeline. I also found it a bit challenging to understand some topics quickly, especially when we had to recall many details at once. To make things easier, I created short notes and simple timelines to help me remember. Breaking the lessons into smaller parts made them less overwhelming and easier to study. Moving on, I will do my best to prepare for all my exams and study harder next quarter. I’ll continue to find ways to make learning easier for me so I can improve and keep up with the less...

Nourish and Win

This year’s Nutrition Month celebration was one of the most fun and meaningful events we had at school. With the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin,” the activities reminded us how important it is to have access to safe and nutritious food—and that it's a right, not a privilege. Thanks to the efforts of TLE Department, the whole celebration was filled with exciting contests, teamwork, and new experiences that made the message of the theme really stick. I joined two events—NutriJingle and the Salad-Making Contest—and both turned out to be really memorable for me. For the NutriJingle, I was part of a 15-member group. At first, I wasn’t sure how things would go, but I ended up really enjoying it. Our jingle was tuned to the songs “Tindahan ni Aling Nena” and “Tan-ok Ilocano,” and we created our own lyrics to fit the theme. Practices were fun, even the last-minute ones where we were rushing, getting nervous, and super tired. But looki...

A letter to the President

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. President of the Philippines August 14, 2025 Dear, Mr. President: I am writing this letter to express my thoughts to you—Mr. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. While I acknowledge and appreciate the efforts you have made for our country, I cannot hide my dismay over some of the decisions and actions under your leadership. There are moments when I feel that the voices of ordinary citizens are not heard enough, and that some pressing issues remain unresolved despite the promises made. It is disheartening to witness the struggles of many Filipinos who still long for concrete and lasting solutions. However, I also cannot ignore the positive changes that have taken place during your term. I am grateful for the projects and programs that aim to improve our infrastructure, strengthen our economy, and bring development to different parts of the nation. These steps, though not perfect, are still important in moving the country forward. Mr. President, my hope is that you wil...
