Building the Basics
This quarter, I learned about HTML tags, which are the basic building blocks of creating web pages. I discovered how each tag serves a purpose, such as adding titles, paragraphs, images, and links to make a webpage more organized and readable. It was interesting to see how simple codes like <p>, <h1>, and <img> can completely change the look and structure of a website. Learning HTML made me appreciate how websites are built and how creativity can be combined with coding.
One of the challenges I faced was memorizing and understanding the proper use of different HTML tags. At first, I would often forget to close tags or mix up the placement, which caused errors in the output. It was frustrating to see the design not appear the way I expected. Another challenge was making my webpage look neat and well-formatted because even a small mistake could affect the whole structure.
To overcome these challenges, I practiced regularly by creating simple webpages and reviewing my mistakes. Through these efforts, I gradually became more comfortable using HTML and started to enjoy experimenting with different elements. Consistent practice really helped me gain confidence in coding.
Moving on, I will keep practicing what I’ve learned about HTML and continue improving my coding skills. I want to explore more about web development and learn how to design more creative and interactive webpages. I believe that with consistency and curiosity, I can continue growing and become better at creating websites in the future.
