The Heart Behind Every Lesson



Teachers contribute a lot to how we are and who we will become. They are not just there to teach lessons from books, but they also share life lessons that guide us every day. The theme “My Teacher, My Hero” for the 2025 Teacher’s Month Celebration reminds us how teachers help us reach our goals and dreams. They guide us patiently, even when we make mistakes, and they never give up on helping us improve. For me, teachers are heroes because they dedicate their time, energy, and heart to every student they teach.


I believe that being a teacher is not an easy job. They spend long hours preparing lessons, checking papers, and thinking of ways to make learning fun and understandable. Yet, despite how hard it can be, they always show up with a smile and continue to inspire us. Their love for teaching and care for students make them truly deserving of the title “hero.” They teach us not only about subjects like math, science, or English but also about values, discipline, and kindness — things that we carry throughout our lives.


To show my gratitude and respect, I try my best to listen carefully during class and do my tasks with effort. I greet them, thank them, and make sure they know how much I appreciate everything they do. Sometimes I write a short message or letter just to say thank you. It may seem simple, but it can mean a lot to them. I also believe that doing well in school and growing into a good person is one of the best ways to honor their hard work.


Teachers deserve to be recognized not only this month but every single day. Without them, there would be no doctors, engineers, artists, or leaders. They are the foundation of every profession because they are the ones who teach and inspire all of us. I’m truly thankful to my teachers who have been patient and understanding, who believed in me even when I doubted myself. They are my heroes, and I will always be grateful for everything they have done.

The town of Santa Catalina has two places that truly show peace and beauty—the church and the beach. Even though they are very different, both give the same feeling of calm and comfort.
